Hey I have the chance to trade in my 04 G35 sedan for an '06 M35. Would you do this? Will I notice a big difference.

My 04 is paid for but I'll owe a little someting on the '06 and if Im not gonna be that much more impressed, Id rather just keep what I got.

Any ideas??

The M is different than the G...The G35 is a sports sedan first, luxury sedan second. The M35 is a luxury sedan first, sports sedan second.

Make sure you test drive the M like you drive your G...

I had an M 35 for awhile when my 'G' was in the shop. I wasn't all that impressed with the interior, mostly in the way of layout. I also wasn't impressed with how it performed but then it was a loaner. Now I would maybe consider a high end 45 awd.

Thanks for the comparison. I drove it and it a definite change. I feel more of the road in the G35 than the M. Only feature I wish I had was the cooled seats.

Plus Id have to make some mods like tent, tires, and lights to get it looking like my current car.

Maybe I'll save up and go for the 45.

Thanks,

I didn't like the feel of the M compared to the G.....maybe when I'm REALLY old I'll change my mind but I doubt it.

If you are looking for an upgraded interior check the 07-09 G's.

I wasn't aware of the TENT mod. Is it smoething new? Is it like a Westfella package?

Ok remember Im kinda new to this all. I just looked at all the upgrades I'd have to make to get it where my current G is (tinting the windows, wheels, xm radio etc)

Im not sure its worth it now.

I was just messing w/ you. We knew what you ment.

If you don't feel that it is worth the money or effort to get it to the level of the G. Then you should stick with what you have.

Unless you are trying to get a plush pimp ride. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I'd love to get an older Q45 and VIP it.

Like the front of the M but the rear end is too flat for my taste. Also the driving experience was not for me. I am sure it is nice for somebody just not for me. As others said maybe when I am older I will consider something like that.

It could look really sharp tho. Not sure iof you ever seen some of the pimped M35/45.

I agree. Called the guy back and told him no thanks. Im just going to take my current G and put on some new tires, change headlights, probably the front and rear bumpers.

I'd also like to know how hard it would be to find a radio with built in Nav that would fit into the current slot. It has a button that says SAT but I dont think its pre-wired for that.

I actually like the looks as much if not more than the 'G'. With a little work I am sure that performance wise you could be there as well. What I don't like as much is the dash.

Size wise I really don't see that they really are all that much bigger, just look a lot bigger. A couple of inches here and there, not much more.
