Your smoked tails look good. How did they do them? Is it a tint film or did they sand, paint and buff them?Mr. Z33 wrote:Thanks! Believe it or not, I m scheduled tomm for geting my tailights smoked. Not having them be all blacked out, but just smoked. I cannot wait to see what it looks like with the windows. I will post pics as soon as I can.
Thanks! It is actually a film. The film itself is said to have a 5-6 year life, so not to bad for $65. It is still very safe to drive, becasue you can clearly see when the lights are on and when you hit the brakes. Not a big fan of the paint, just because it is permanent. Where as I could just rip the film off without having to purchase new tail lights.Retired Chief wrote:Your smoked tails look good. How did they do them? Do you know the % tint used on your tails? And, is it the same tint used inside on windows or is it different? - thinking it would be considering it's exposd to the elements.Mr. Z33 wrote:

Not really sure on the percentage of the tint, but I do know that it is lighter than my 15% on my windows. Yes, it is a different material than the window tint because it is exposed to the outdoor conditions.Retired Chief wrote:Do you know the % tint used on your tails?
