To tint or not to tint.

I've see alot of after assembly tint job go very bad. Any reccomendations? Aside from not doing it yourself, lol.

Just go to a good, quality, reputable shop. Pay a little more if you have to, if the only good shops around are higher end.

Quality shops will use the highest quality films and take the most care in doing the job. Mine looks absolutely flawless, and I've seen several other tinted V's posted on this site that look really good.

Just be mindful of tint laws in your area.

I too have seen a lot of bubbled up messes. Sure all the tinting looks good now, but how do you know it won't go to hell after 5 years in the sun?

I think a lot of the better tint shops have lifetime warranties, so if you go to one of those you can either count on the tint staying good for the life of the car, or you can replace it for free whenever you need to.

I've got a lifetime warranty not only on my tint, but the labor as well. Some shops do lifetime warranty on the tint, but a limited warranty on the labor.

(I also acknowledge that at $370, I paid the most out of anyone here... but the shop I used is right next door to the Porsche dealership, and does the work on all of the Porsches...)

whatever shop you pick, you should ask them to see the cars that he has tinted. I have only used one shop Its in Pueblo West > Wicks Window Tint! He is awesome! He tinted all my cars and now my Versa.Never had any problems. Just incase anyone is in town and wants to know.
