yeah all three of my mirrors shake violently. In fact, if i crank the bass up 100% my vision gets blurry in general. Like my eyeballs are shaking and it gets hard to breathe. Thats a little too much for me though, i dont run it that loud.

Yeah, when it's turned up the mirrors shake like crazy. Never had any issues with the third brake light tho, that would have to be super loud. Never turned system up to 100%, I don't think I can handle that much and it feels like the car will spontaneously combust.

Now that's dope! When I went from JL Audio 12's to 10's there was a big difference in boom but the system as a whole sounds might tighter and more precise.

actually rezn, i remember a while back even before my system, my 3rd brakelight fell off, but yeah it just gets loose now that i thought about it, and your system wont make it fall off unless your running like 10000 watts. any system though will probably make it loose again quicker,

I broke my 3rd brake light 2 or 3 setups ago, the side mirrors are pretty much useless with anything past 1/2 volume, I have 4" fullrange speakers where the rear view mirror used to be, but that used to be useless aswell

Vision becomes unsafe @ 3/4 volume

just want to point out that you guys should watch your volume i used to drive a corolla. I had 2 clarions 12's in the back and the stereo loosened the engine mounts on that car i felt a heavy vibrating one day like the car was falling apart and sure enough it was.

I still play it real loud so my eyeballs vibrate like fueler mentioned but if your playing it real loud keep your ratchet handy to check those improtant nuts and bolts.

I have 1 12 and my rear view shakes a lot, no problems with the side mirrors. My 3rd brake light fell off once but I don't think it was from the sub.

Music that makes your ears bleed is bad music. idk making the whole town hear your bass is kind of a high school thing in my opinion. I use my bass to create a full tone that's well balanced and nice to listen to.

its funny you say that, I have yet to build a system in my Pathy, but do have a few things for it already. I use to be a "bass Head" so I know just what your talking about. I've kind of grown up, and am more into SQ now, and my system in my IS300 consists of Focal 165K2P's up front and rear, 3 JL w3's in the trunk, Alpine PDX amps on all speakers, yada yada yada, it all cost more then a good used 96 R50 4x4 and is very loud...but no matter how loud it plays, it never distorts, or ever sounds bad. so I guess I've accomplished both SPL, and SQ for my needs.

when I fly back home next year, I'll probably do a transformation to the pathy. I'll post stuff then since I havn't quite decided what route to take it system wise yet. but I do know it will have 2 11" subs in the rear molded in (I'll be making custom rear pannels from scratch) so it be interesting, and stealthy.

Anyone noticed the highs will rattle the rear view mirror and the lows will rattle the side view mirrors?

A couple of years ago I decided I didn't need 2 12's even though they were super musical JL Audio 12's. So I sold them with the box that I built and had upholstered and picked up a set of JL Audio 10's and really started to tune my system. I couldn't be happier, it's clean and will rattle the mirrors if I want it to but I can't remember the last time I made my eyeballs shake.

Because of the lower profile box my car doesn't look like a high schoolers ride. If you really want to show off, ditch the 15's, 18''s or whatever and design a system that bumps and has musical quality with 1/2 the speakers and wattage. If I was to ever re-do my subs I'd probably build a box that had a single 12" with a 10" on each side. From my experience 1 JL Audio 12" will out perform 3 12's from any other manufacturer. Some people swear that my 10's sound like 12's because they've got such depth but stay ultra clean.

I have blown out 3 JLs 10"s because the damn RMS was so friggin low, like 200. A brand of subs called Cerwin Vega sells 10" caged subs with 1200 watts and 600 RMS...its some tuff stuff and with the proper box can blow away a lamer 15". I have had my 700 MA Audio for 4 years now and its pretty worn out. I will replace it with a MTX 1000 watt 12" cuz it looks and sounds cool. The great thing about my setup is: it doesn't take up my whole cab like my old setup...

[QUOTE=Fisherdude]A brand of subs called Cerwin Vega sells 10" caged subs with 1200 watts and 600 RMS...QUOTE]CV has been around forever. They used to make (they may still make) a sub called the stroker that was the nastiest thing I ever experienced whe it came to bass. It vibrated my pants when I was like 10' away from the car & to break it in it was advised to plug it into an electrical outlet for like 4 or 5 minutes. Like I said that was 10 or so years ago so I don't even know ifthey make that sub anymore or not.
