... ive got some questions for you. ive had mine on my car since x-mas. when i installed them i got a lil stumped on the rear bars endlinks. you know the collar piece that goes inbetween the sway bar bushings and the control arm bushings... well, just plain out i think mine are too short. do yall remember if those collars are the same length as the collars on the front sway bar endlinks? my rears are half the size of the front ones in length. im questioning this because when i went to mount the rear up and tighten the endlink nut on the bolt, the bushings were way far from even begining to be squished. i was puzzled about that and started to question the collar. .another thing that makes me think my collars are too short is the fact that the hoop to clear the exhaust on the bar is wedged right up against my gas tank. now if the collars were a bit longer like i think they should be, it would change the angle of the bar and bring it back to fit like a glove. .what i did to squish the bushings was just stack some washers on top of the sway bar bushings. this worked and i can now get those suckers squeezed. .also, will the length of those collars affect the stiffness of the bar? i atleast hope somone has a clue of what im trying to figure out. can anyone on here post pics of their rear ST sway bar endlinks mounted on their car. i think ST sent me the wrong size.

guess what

everybody has that problem with them

apparently washers are the easy fix i have to redo mine. im hoping i dont strip the bolt threads backing the nuts off cause it was a pain to find replacements when i stripped the first set.

damn it

so whats the correct solution? did ST supply too long of a bolt? where should we be putting the washers? in the middle where the collar sits, so the angle of the bar will change?

im not sure im not too pleased with the hardware myself.

im assuming you would stack 2-3 washers under the top nut just to press everything down. i havent gotten back to it yet.

right now im racking my brain with the front.

the head of the bolts they give you for the front brackets dont leave enough room for a socket and it looks like it could use 3 washers to space it correctly instead of 2 as per the instructions. i laid the original bracket upsidedown on a level surface and it took 3 to make it sit flat. you cant reuse the original nuts with the new bracket either.

what a pain is the arse

alright the brackets they give you for the front officially suck a$$

i used 3 of the washers and it went it level. use liberal amount of blue loctite and carefully hand tighten with an open ended wrench. it wouldnt let me get a full turn in so i alternated with a crescent wrench so as not to strip the bolt head. just be careful not to overtighten. if you strip the threads in the frame your screwed (literally). besides the instructions call for 18ftlbs far less than the fsm (29-35ftlbs) i think i used around 20ftlb (as if id actually know). i torqued the old endlink nut onto the front of the bracket in place of the original at 30ftlbs.

i think im satisfied with how its on there.

now for the rear
