How did you route the harnesses on in both fenders so they don't rub?

For some unholy reason, I decided to route the driverside through the fender brace. Yes, I cut every single wire on the harness and soldered it back together after routing it through. It took forever, but now there's no worries about rubbing.

The passenger side was much easier as the entire harness unbolts from under the dash at the ATC, ecu, speed controller thingamajig, and wiper stuff. It was even easier after I removed everything that had to do with the automatic since I'm 5-speed'd.

Anyway, it wasn't fun, and I was wondering if anyone else had joined in the un-funness. If, by chance, anyone else hates themselves to an absurd degree, I'll post up pictures of what I did to guide you on your path to sadism.

POST THE PICS!!!

We'll make it an article.

I simply pulled off the fenders, moved the harness up above the brace, and reinstalled the fenders.

Much easier.

However, I DID do as you did when I decided I wanted NO wiring in my engine bay - Both fuse boxes are relocated, and I had to do a TON of rewiring / lengthening / soldering... Hell, just figuring out what wire goes to which fuseblock, and disassembling / reassembling those was a PITA.

I've done the same set up on another car of mine.... talk about a PITA... was hating life after the 15 wire solder.. but it did look nice.. never looked at the 240 to see if it would look good enough to go through the pain... I feel your pain Grandpa

15 wires? That would've been dreamy. I think the main harness has 40-50. It took me a good 3 hours or so to do all the cutting, routing, stripping, soldering, taping, etc.

I'm finishing it up tomorrow, and I'll post pictures on what I did. I don't know if it'd be good enough for an article since I didn't take a ton of pictures, but I'll let y'all decide.

I guess I just don't like doing it. I finished up everything today, including putting a slight pull on the front fenders. Took me about 12 hours total to get everything done nice and clean. I'll post up the pictures I took this weekend.
