To all service men and women from NICO serving at home or abroad,

On this Christmas, I would like to extend my thanks to you for doing what you do. You made a decision to serve your county in peace time or war, and with that decision you are where you are now. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and to let you know that my prayers are with you and your families.

I once served in the military, and I know what it is like being away from your loved one during the holidays, though I served during peace time. Serving during a war time situation, I can only imagine what you must feel. I also know what it is like to have someone say "Thank you" for what you are doing. When it was said to me, it made everything all worth while. I support you in all you do, knowing that you are making it possible for me to live the life that I do and also keeping my family safe. You are without a doubt the the glue that keeps it all together.

To the Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen who have lost their lives for us. You will never be forgotten.

I second that. Very well said.

I only wish the world was the sort of place where all of these men and women could be home with their families now, safe and sound.

One of our friend is home on leave from Germany this Christmas. Last Christmas he spent in Baghdad. Now he is stuck in Southern Indiana in almost 3 feet of snow. The irony.bud

I appreciate the support, guys. It really does mean a lot. I'm a Marine stationed on Al Asad Airbase, Iraq, as part of the base security battalion, working at the main gate (car bomb target, heh). I'll be home soon, though.

Edit: I'm so glad this forum generally supports military personnel overseas. I was just over on FA, and I've made a concious decision not to read it anymore; loads of self-righteous pricks calling servicemembers stupid, "tools", overrated, etc etc. That type of crap infuriates me.

One of my best friends is in Iraq with the Marine reserves. He went there in July, and I am not sure when he is supposed to be back home. He is recently married also, although he has been with his wife for at least 5 years. He is currently stationed somewhere near that "triangle of death" that the news so often talks about. I usually hear from him now and then, but I hadn't recieved any news about him till yesterday. His wife sent me an e-mail saying that he was doing ok and she also sent pics.

If anyone else is stationed in Iraq, and you know a guy named Seann Anderson from Galesburg, Ill. from any of the Marine reserve units tell him his friend Neal says hello.

NICO salutes these brave men and women - veterans, active duty personnel, Guard and reservists - We owe you all a debt of gratitude that words cannot express.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the disrespect you encounter, the times you spend away from loved ones. Our prayers and thoughts are with you this Christmas season.

Keep the faith, remember our fallen brothers and sisters, and come home safe.

WHAT!!!!!!!! Well, you can tell those liberal POS's on FA to kiss my butt! Anyone who doesnt support our troops, doesnt desrve to be protected by them.

God bless you ladies and gentlemen in our armed forces, and those of you that have served. I pray for you everyday. I hate that you are out there away from home, when I am here working less than three miles from my home and the majority of my family.

Thank you for everything you do, all the sacrafices you have made, and are willing to make on behalf of me, our country, and freedom. I pray for you guys (and ladies) everyday, and wish for your safe return.

Stay safe. And remember, NICO is behind you all the way.

Thanks for the support, as a new member to the active duty military it always makes me feel really good about what I do when people show their appreciation.

Thanks again, we are proud of what we do and who we serve!

p.s: Even though what the people of FA said, it doesn't make me, infact, they have that right. I just wonder from their comments if they realize they have the freedom to say that cause of military men and women of the past, present and future gave them those rights they so love.

Agreed. Thanks to all of you. You do something I probably could never do, and it's because of you I have the opportunities I do. You don't know how much you are appreciated.

When we went to SEMA this year, one of the highlights was this truck outside the show...

I stood there and looked at it for a looong time, taking in all the detail. Very impressive, and a great tribute to our veterans.
