Well basically... tomorrow I am going to the nissan dealer to get my first oil change. Only thing I am concerned about is that I bought the extended warranty for my car and I was curious that if I took it there with the intake, they would void the warranty.. So i was wondering if it was necessary for me to swap it back to the stock filter for this oil change, or just leave it there .

geez you threw on your intake before breaking in your engine? i hope you didn't mean your 1500 mile service. but regardless it shouldn't matter since they can't legally deny you your warranty unless your car is jacked up and they can prove without a doubt that the intake caused the problem.

Is the car running fine? If so, leave the intake in. Only thing that would be voided is the factory air filter warranty, meaning that after this, if you were to take out the intake system and put back in the factory set up, and they were smart enough to note that at a previous servicing you had an "aftermarket air filter setup" installed, then they will not replace the stock air filter for free and they'd charge you for it. That's the ONLY thing that they can void on your warranty, and nothing else.

Rule of thumb, keep all factory parts that you have replaced with aftermarket ones, that way if something were to happen to the engine while still under warranty, you can still have it serviced without coming out of the pocket simply by converting everything back to stock. Just don't go to the same dealership that you went to previously with all the aftermarket components installed.

Leave it in. If something should happen to break, take it out.
