hey so im getting antsy trying to figure out what to do next ive done everything on my small list. getting a custom paint job soon. which will add more pearl and mettallic flake. dont want a body kit. been warned not to do lambo doors.so i was thinking maybe a cute spoiler.tell me what you think.

so this is my car now bare no emblems on the rear...side view (nissan emblem now gone)

this will be the emblem put on by the end of the week...(photedited)

found this pick with what emblem im getting and they have a spoiler

possible spoilers?

so spoiler or no? i think it adds a little dimension to the back breaking it up a little as its got a long end.

want input!! negative or positive please

Instead of a spoiler, I would suggest JDM LED taillights, they will look great with PPW & a s2k stubby antenna....BTW I sell the s2k antenna's. ZR!

just get the oem spoiler, you can get the replica ones for a bit cheaper online. (mines not a genuine and its lasted good looks for a while now)

Might want to look into 06 led tails or just like what sluggo said, the jdm ones. They look great on the white zees, dont be fooled. There not altezza's heh.

I have a ZR, I'll leave the rear alone. I prefer it that way.

PPW = Pikes Peak White (OEM color of your Z)

I'd do it. I think it looks too bare in the back right now, as it is.

guessing from all of the things Z-Chick has done to the car, I would lean towards "looks". I'm not saying she isn't into performance, but there are two things, in my mind, that negate any performance benefit.

1. This is the roadster. It is h-e-a-v-y. A spoiler isn't going to reduce the weight problem and magically make her car as tossable as a Miata.

2. Speed. How fast must one drive to see any benefit from a rear spoiler (or wing)? I've seen stories where one has to be going above 90mph (144kph) for the spoiler (wing) to actually add any benefit. Shoot, even the Boxster's spoiler thingie doesn't deploy until 75mph.

So, with that said, I would go for sutle, sleek, Euro-esk lip spoiler, similar the the last one on the silver car. Even the one on the black car she posted isn't too bad either.

NO wings. They scream tacky and wanna-be to me.

and yes, im not reealy into performance, its fast enough already for me. id want the spoiler for looks. but its hard to decide. 50% of ppl like the z without a spoiler and 50% of ppl like it with

There seem to be more than one kind/type of spoiler. There is the thin, Euro-lip spoiler and there is the snowboard spoiler, the blue and orange 'verts posted above.

It won't take much to break of the "blandness" of the Z-'vert Putting a park bench on the rear of the car is fine and all, but that doesn't say "sleek" in my book. If you can't tell, I'm going for a minimalist approach here. The spoiler is supposed to accent the rear, not detract from it.

A spoiler is good only when you hit over 100 mph! anything under will not make the downforce you want or need. this is why we lol at ricers that are FF with HUGE spoilers. have those cars won't even hit 100 mph HAHAHA
