So I figured I'd check in here to see what others possibly faced with my situation might do or have done.

I bought my 02Q becuase my last job put me on the road thru the worst LA traffic during the worst times. Per Murphy's law of course, I got fired 4 months after buying the car.

Recently I got a new better job. Problem is the new job came with a Co. car & the gas card, OR a car allowance of $500. With the cost of gas, I took the co. car.

So now I have 3 cars. The Q. The 03 ML350 Benz. And an AWESOME Taurus. {Ford really makes some crap don't they?}

In short, I gotta cut back some expenses in prep to buy a house and it just doesn't make sense to have the 3rd car.

I want to keep the Q, but getting the baby in & out of the baby seat in the back middle is a pain in the ***.

The Benz is easier, but I rather dump the $500 payment on it and keep the $290 payment on the Q.

So my options are;- Sell the Q and keep the Benz (I don't like Opt. A)- Sell both and buy a Lexus Hybrid SUV (or something like that)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Anyone want to....(Gulp)... Oh Damn it! Alright here it goes.....BUY MY Q?

Damn it! Doesn't Infiniti make anything in between an FX (Too small & tight) and the QX (Too big and thirsty)?

Well, if I'm gonna sell the Q, I'd rather it go to someone who would appreciate it and give it a good home.

Suggestions? Offers?

I'd consolidate debt. Benz first, Q second. Although I would hate to drive a Taurus and would drive it off the cliff if I had one, being debt free does wonders for your credit rating.

The Dave Ramsey "debt snowball" finds it's way to NICO!

Well remember one thing, you take the company car and what happens if the job ends like your last one did. I would at least wait for 5-6 months and make sure things work out. No question that if your going to drive alot $500 is not alot if your operating a Q45 in LA traffic on a regular basis.

I think you should get rid of the debt first, dump the Benz while anyone is still willing to buy it. I think we're all going to find that Q's are not going to hold their value very well given fuel prices, but I doubt it will change much in a few months. My local consignment lot has all SUVs, pickups and luxo V8's. That Q will probably take awhile to sell too, so you might take out the Autotrader ad for the price you really want to get it for and it might take 3-4 month to sell it.

Thanks,

I really would like to sell the Benz rather than my Q. My Benz gets 16-18mpg and my Q gets 19-21mpg and 24mpg on the freeway. The miles, payments and amount owed are all lower on my Q.

It kinda comes down to the baby seat access and the fact that I owe $26K on the Benz and might get $25K if I was lucky.

Hey, where's this consignment lot of yours? Is El Granada in So.Cal, by any chance?
