to s14 owners, does this look normal ?

look at the pics with the the body panels under the hood, and the body panels outside. does that look normal to you, i mean the shades are of two different colors. and the grill, is that supposed to be painted as well ? friend just recently bought the car, and these are a few things that didnt really match up.

Looks like my car. Reason, because it was repainted with a different shade. The main thing I see is that who ever painted didnt paint the engine bay and did a shabby job of overspray.

The engine bay is supposed to b a different color. I own a red s14 and the engine bay is more the maroon color then the red color. They swap the color. If its a red car, it gets a maroon engine bay. If it's a maroon car, they get a red engine bay. It comes like that from the factory. I have no idea why but I have been told this and compared it to many cars. Hope this helps.Josh

my s13 did that when i had a vaccum line on the fuel regulator broken and the fuel rail was getting lik 43psi of fuel instead of 30 something psi. I thought my injectors were broken but it was just the vaccum line. I dont know about you but the stuff mine sprayed out really smelled like gas. hope that helps

Nissan does not use a clear coat under the hood and nissan also has a "base coat" for all red or marron 240's so yea it will allways look different
