this question goes out to those who have them installed...i'm seriously considering buying a plenum spacer, but was wondering, is there a big significant difference in torque? how much of a hp did you gain?

Since you have an auto, all you need is a spacer to get some extra HP and a nice bump in the 4-6k rpm range. I recommend 5/16's.

WOW...lol. This question still comes up eh??!!

Do-eeeet!!! I also recommend the grounding kit that Nate sells here (Sentientbydesign) it will greatly improve your AT's response. That seems to be the general consensus with the members that have purchased them.

i know... i know... unfortunately sometimes, we all need that extra vote of confidence if it is really worth the extra $$$... i already have a grounding kit installed and CAI... and am thinking of finishing up with a plenum spacer to max out my engine output.. not interested in going turbo or supercharger..

Haha, yup

this is the way the world goes...at least the world of G35. Lot of options you can go with for exhaust too

Don't worry, we'll help you out.

If you already have exhaust mod...then make it so the engine can breath better...do the plenum already.

After I installed my plenum spacer, i noticed better pickup and a louder/deeper growl from the exhaust.

where and how are you guys getting these spacers so cheap? and what is the reall difference between the 5/8 and the 5/16? is it worth the extra money and inconveniance of not being able to mount the cover back on?

The 5/8 supposedly sacrafices usable HP in the lower RPM range for higher peak HP.

The 5/16 has more usable low/midrange HP, but not as high of a peak (may actually reduce peak).
