wsup up fellas, i got 112k miles on my ka24de. i have just recently put a lot of money into changing my front and rear engine oil seals, changed clutch, and now i i have to fix a timing chain cover leak. question is, what else is there left to do to "overhaul" it so it woule be considered running at brand new status almost?? i am wondering if with teh money i already invested i should just keep my ka24de and turbo it rather than buy an sr20det. what do you guys think?

im pretty much rebuilding my motor, and after all has been bought, its probably not worth it. Youd need a new timing chain kit (guides and stuff) water pump, im doing my oil pump as well, new piston rings, and while you have the head off, get that rebuilt too. all gaskets, head and main studs, and after all is said and done, cross your fingers and hope and pray that nobody shipped you the wrong thing and that you put everything in correctly.

I think it would be more feasible to send it to a rebuilder or even remanufacturer, but once you go there, yeah, you might as well get an SR. keep in mind, the SR isn't new either, but is supposed to be in next to new condition. It's up to you. Tek
