To Or Not To Do Nitrous?

I am thinking after we get the intake manis in and on and get me a header set-up to put a zex wet system on the versa ,but i want to be very safe about it so i want run the zex smart box ,but my question is since its drive by wire will the (TPS) still work the same on the throttle body as would on any other car so it comes on at (WOT) its very safe and reliable i have worked with it before and i just want do a little 50 shot so it should be safe....

Using nitrous on stock internals of our MR18DE is stupid, wait until there is a forged engine rebuild kit and then do it, your only going to roast the valves and pistons rings.

Nitrous Oxide on a Versa is, and forever will be, stupid. Any application in an engine that is not designed to handle any real abuse will kill your engine. I'd warn about the warranty thing but this whole, "Super Awesomest Intake Manifold to the XTREME!!!!!!!!!!!!!" stuff already takes care of that.

LOL Im sure it will haha but i have talked to race engineering they will make me forged stuff for 3k thats high but no one else has it so i may just do that .....to go with it

As long as your using a wet kit (one that also injects fuel with the nitrous) a 50 shot will not hurt anything. Especially since the nitrous is only used at wide open throttle. The factory engine tune at WOT is very rich whereas part throttle is a little more lean to aid in fuel economy and emissions. You will be fine with the setup you are going to run.

As for the TPS. It will work the same way as before. Just follow the istructions for the smartbox and you will be okay. make sure you check the voltages coming from the tps sensor. When I installed this same kit on my buddys silverado the voltages were backwards(ie 0V at WOT and 5V at idle) the kit didn't know what was going on.
