i have a 01 qx4 w/o navigation. have any of you guys installed the factory navigation into your non-navigation qx4 before? if so what are all the other parts minus the navigation unit needed.

i know i need another radio and bezel. is it a plug-in-play or will there have to be some modifications done.

thanks for your help

I've never seen the factory Nav but why would you want to go with 10 year old maps and technology? I bet you can get a nice after-market system for cheaper. I've got a Pioneer AVIC-Z3 and love it. Bluetooth phone, iPod, XM or Serious satellite, 3D Nav, DVD, Voice Recognition, the works.

You can't do it. If I remember correctly the wiring harnesses are different. Also aren't the climate controls in the navigation unit? It does look good, better than most after martet installs I've seen. As far as functionality, go aftermarket. You'll be happy you did. I'm looking at new units now and the options and what these things do is really amazing. Good luck.
