Guess that means I won't be getting my money for a while. Not like I haven't waited long enough though...

I have an update shift but it needs to be backed by actual hard evidence so I am waiting for Night to fax me something. We seem to be having technical difficulties with that.

To all who are interested, I did infact receive Cameron's fax today, he did go to Japan. I think this makes a lot of us feel a lot better, I am also suppose to receive a few more documents proving the payment and shipment of these engines from Japan, stay tuned! This whole thing looks like its just about worked out.

Except I'm still waiting on my refund. And conveniently Cameron's paypal account with the money he was going to pay me with gets frozen right when he says he's going to pay me. I'm not saying this is your fault, or that you're lying Cam, it's just been so long, and this has been such a horrid experience, that and I'm getting shorted money on my refund...

Well anyways. My 240 has been sold. And as soon as this situation is settled I probably won't be coming back to NICO for a long time, if ever. Maybe someday I'll get over the bitter taste that this whole experience has left me with for Nissans.

End of Oct. is it for sure is what I'm told. I am praying this holds true, I can see no possible reason for it not to. Based off what I've been told.

Off topic for a moment...

Why would this experience affect how you feel about Nissan as a community. Not trying to downplay what happened, but people get ripped off in every community. No matter who you affiliate yourself with, someone will take advantage of it period. Not saying Cameron ripped you guys off (quite frankly I shut my mouth on the whole issue), but it happens. It isnt the Nissan community as a wholes fault.....

I know it's not this community, and I don't blame it as a whole. It's just been a bad experience, so I've been a bit put off to the whole idea of going through a engine swap.

But maybe I spoke a little soon. A car I'm looking at buying right now is another 240. Already has an SR swap on it. I'm more interested in driving cars than working on them, that and the fact that I don't really have the time to do a swap myself, so buying a pre-swapped car looks like a good option for me. If I do get the car I will be hanging around most likely, but if I get something else there is really not much reason for me to stay.

.off topic again. Yeah man I wasnt trying to bag on you or anything or call you out....just curious. I can see how somethign liek this would mess with somes feelings in a negative way. Stick with Nissan's man....here I am talking about sticking with Nissans and I am going to the Toyota camp...LOL how ironic.

Cam-Good luck bro. Hopefully everything works out for everyone.

What type of toyota you looking at getting/have? Before I found the current 240 I'm looking at I've been searching for an MR2 Turbo. That or I'll just stick with the DSMs and step up to a GST/GSX, although I see a lot of negativity towards the DSM camp from other groups, don't know why.

DSMS ARE GREAT AND ALL, THE THING I DON'T LIKE IS THAT IT IS LIKE SUBARU'S IN THE FACT THAT THERE IS A CLUSTER**** OF **** UNDER THE HOOD AND THEY ARE A BIATCH TO WORK ON.

I WOULD OWN A GSX IF I DIDN'T ALREADY OWN A 240SX

I use to own a TSi awd talon. Very fun car had T3/T4E,660cc injectors, 2nd Gen MAF, Griffen front mount intercooler, 3"exhaust no cat, bigger fuel pump, EVC4 and AFC. To tell you the truth the car was a major pain in my *** lol. I found myself not so excited to drive it on the street anymore and most of the races I would get itno were on the FWY. Didn't lose much on the FWY :) I did how ever break one transmission. It was the OEM transmission that came with the car. It was in very bad shape and was going to die sooner or later. When it died it locked up all 4 wheels and the car wouldn't get out of gear (damn shift fork). After that I wasn't the same anymore everytime I would launch the car I had fears of blowing my center diff while pulling 1.7 60' time :(. Try the RWD I think it's goin to be way more fun than the AWD.

Yeah, I can definitely understand how a bad experience with purchasing an engine would leave a bad taste in your mouth for the whole idea of swapping an engine. I got screwed buying an SR20 almost a year ago now and am still trying to get my money back, and for a while I just wanted to fix the damn car and drive it stock, the way it was, without having to worry about all that crap. I've got my enthusiasm back up for it though, and am moving forward with an RB20 swap.
