to much rust

ok so i picked up on first 240 on thanksgiving i started to gut it and i found that both driver and passenger floor pans were rotted out so i had to cut them out and weld in metal to fix did anyone else have these rot out on them started to go under the car further to rip out the diff to get it welded up and just finding more and more rot and rust yes im aware its a 22 year old car but my dad has a 94 toyota nd the thing has no rot on it what so ever do these things just rot away over the years and how hard is it to find a relatively clean 240 coupe cause im really debating on getting another one if anyone has a shell that is local to me with a straighter body

Finding a clean 240 depends on where you live.
In a place like California, it's easy to find a rust-free car.

Nissan didn't do a very thorough job of rust-proofing the bottom of these cars. In some places, like above the gas tank, it's just a layer of primer.

They didn't do a good job building it either. The welds are all over the place and the sealants are poorly applied.

There will always be rust, unless you take it apart piece by piece and repair it.

Remember these cars are quickly built in a salty environment...and shipped on a boat.

If you really want an S chassis, there might be some in in California, Arizona, South America and the Middle East, but they'll start to rot as soon as you bring it back, unless you quickly treat the whole car.
