I was wondering is it possible to have a system that flows too well? Or is it pretty much no matter what the more flow and the less resistance the more HP you will gain. Im just wondering if i did a whole set up for a N/A engine with an intake, plenueum spacer, test pipes, headers, and high flow exhaust or ture dual is there such thing as an engine that flows too well and as a result actually looses HP?

If your not compensating your mixture with extra fuel then yes. You'd more then likey probably need new C2 sensors and ECU.

yes you can loose hp on an n/a. With a turbo you want the exhaust to be as free as possible, on an n/a you depend on the exhaust to create a sort of siphoning effect, if the exhaust is too big or too free flowing you will loose hp, that being said I believe most if not all aftermarket kits are sized appropriately, you won't find and 4" exhaust kits for the Z, see my real up thread, there was a test with cold air, intake manifold and exhaust that yeilded 19 whp! Replacing the cats with test pipes might improve that slightly but I wouldn't expect more than a couple hp on an n/a

Ok so pretty much as far as aftermarket parts go even with a whole system to get more air in and out it wont be too much for the Z and result in a loss of HP? Do you really need to change the fule mixture with these mods? If so how do you go about doing that?

the small amount of dextra flow you'll get with n/a mods won't require you to compensate with extra fuel, it might help you squeeze a few more horses out but lean actually makes more power than rich and on an n/a you're not endanger of blowing the engine
