I always remember just in the nick of time the camera at that light on Canal Street right before you get on the manhattan bridge... i never got caught at a camera but i hear that you just get a fine when the cops dont catch you going through a red light

Yeah coz I remember him saying that he has seen the altima hybrd around manhattan and I figure he'd know the traffic violation.

i see that you have a license in NJ. Therefore you cannot get points in New York. You can only get points in the state you live in. I live in Pa, if i want to speed i just go to NJ which is 20 miles away from me.

Even dui's some times dont transfer to the state you live in.

This is totally incorrect... Reciprocity is in full effect... You get 2 points for an out of state moving violation (if you live in nj)... so the only thing to worry about is getting a ticket.... 30+ 40+ 90+ the limit... you pay a fine and get 2 points... insurance companies are fat pigs for a reason... although it may not hit your license... you will pay....

LongBeachCoupe is right. You get 2 points on your license plus the fine. I got a ticket for running a red light in '97 while in NY. Coincidentally I lived in Clifton at the time (Class of '99) and I did get 2 points on my license. The violation was listed on my driving record...Oh yeah, and it wasn't red, it was still yellow .
