Actually I am installing those on a G50 with SPL adjustable upperlinks and a new steering rack next week.I like the pillow balll design. May be a little less shock.

brian.....i saw that from other thread......were you able to install it....if you dont mind can you give us some sticky on how-to / procedures on doing those?

thanks a lot man in advance.....i'm planning to DIY my front end ( if it's not that difficult --- a less-plenum-job kinda will work for me..,) i'll just have to figure out first about my fluctuating rpm issue on my g50. so i hope i'll be receiving the usb consult this week and start the suspension on 3rd week of april.

thanks again......

It might be then for me also as I have had a couple of other things rise to the top, including someone backing in to my door.

Thankfully I have uninsured motorists insurance.

The install is about as straightforeward as you can get... If the bolts are stuck, do not move the links around because it will only make your life miserable trust me...

Dont think too hard about this, the ULs are held in with 2 bolts, the tension rods 3, and the RUCAs 2... They just drop in/out...

you need air tools, period.

I'll have to do my tension rods (and a front lower control arm) when I get to my mothers house because lucky me my step dad has a full set of air tools

On a funny note, I took my Q to a local suspension shop to see if they could throw them on for me... turns out they have never seen this car OR adjustable tension rods and were going to charge me $120 to put them in. Needless to say I promptly got my car taken off the lift and drove home.

The nuts/bolts are torqued pretty hard. If you don't have access to air tools, slip a piece of pipe over your rachet handle for extra leverage. Measure out the distance from the hole to the studs on the old rods and adjust the new rod to match. Once installed, drive straight to the alignment shop. If not, you'll be wearing out your tires.

Oh almost forgot... You'll need 4 17mm bolts about 1.5" long....unless they were provided with your rods. The "bolts" on the OEMs are actually studs and cannot be removed.
