Turbo'd one KA at ~98,000...another at ~87,000.
The 87k motor has seen ~17,000 miles of anywhere form ~260rwhp to ~300rwhp, it's holdiong up great.
And as it's been said already...miles don't mean anything...condition is everything. Only thing that wears with mileage is rings and bearing...neither of which will just break form a little boost.
The pistons (ring lands) are the first to go if the motor detonates...and they could have 500,000 miles on them and be good as new...same goes for the rods (except they are MUCH beefier than the pistons).
At a bare minimum, do a compression test....better yet, compression plus leakdown.
