So, recently I pushed a little bit too hard when I pressed the trunk release at the back of the car and the part that is covering the rear license plate lights is in the process of coming off. I was wondering what the best way to fix this was? My friend suggested I just melt off the the rest of the glue and just use adhesive to stick it back on...but I wanted another opinion. On that note, I was wondering if I should take this opportunity to get my rear license plate lights switched at the same time?

I would just take it off and use some good quality automotive adhesive tape to put it back on.

You switch out the lights from the inside of the trunk by removing the carpet on the trunk lid. You do this by just removing the clips and you will see the lights. Turn them like a quarter turn counterclockwise and the stock lights should pop out. The LED size is 196 btw.

Cool, thanks!

Edit: Is there a particular site you would recommend to get not only the rear license plate lights, but the map lights and door lights also?
