check out the classifieds, you usually can pick up a KA for real cheap if some ones doing a swap.

omg....

Anyways 92240sx24,You're never going to get a real answer on if you should stick with the KA or go SR/RB. Just look into the engines and decide what you'd rather get, what you can afford and how much time you'd want to put into it and the power rang you want to go for.

Rebuilding a KA is pretty easy, and inexpensive. If you have a garage, a jack, a hoist, a set of sockets, ring compressor, and hone, you're pretty well set. Advance Auto has a fellpro gasket set, and you can score rings and bearings on e-bay for dirt cheap.

$3550, eh?

thats perfect to buy a CA, freshen up parts (oil pump, hoses etc) and tools to do the work, and have money leftover for a bigger turbo/injectors, management .. then maybe even some more for suspension

and then you can part out the KA on top of that to get some of the money back. Or rebuild it hoss, buy a shell, then sell it for a profit

I sat buy a stock replacement for <$500 might want to get a good quality engine.... Replace and be done with it. Keep saving and then decide once oyu got at least 6k saved up. Because once you start in the turbo world your money disappears before you even saw it. As I was on my way to the bank to deposit my check I was calling our sponsors ordering more parts lol.

I say see what exactly is wrong with your current KA first. Then decide from there.

with $3,500, I'd probably buy a CA18 and rebuild/freshen it up
