to Exhaust or not to Exhaust

So me having the great luck that I have, was driving into my garage the other day and completely bottomed out and everything from my Manifold back is broken according to Meineke...$1500 was the quote i received and that is just to replace and fix old parts, not OEM parts. Now i have no idea about exhaust and all that so is the 1500 worth it or should i invest in an aftermarket set up brand new? I always wanted to change the pipes to some better double dual exhaust so what should I do?

Take it to a reputable independent and get a second estimate. Ask to see the car yourself and get a detailed estimate that would allow you to understand the cost to replace components not included in your aftermarket system.
