Ok, i have successfully pulled my ka24de with 183k miles lout. I feel like a god of wrenching(sarcasm). I have owned my s14 for 11 years and its a beautiful vehicle. I am researching an sr20 and an rb25. My research has revealed that an sr 20 seems to be very common and rather uneventful swap. Now the rb25 seems to be a lil tougher, but seems to be some down pipe and fmic piping issues with custom fits and such. SO after all that heres the question, in a s14 95 would it be benificial and cost effective to get a clip or just a motorset? thank you for your time.

Searching will yield answers to your questions.

Honestly, I think it is preference. I bought a motorset and made sure that it came with everything I would need, like SMIC, wiring harness, etc..I was using Mckinney motormounts and driveshaft, so I didn't need the crossmember that you would get with the clip.

For my RB25, I bought a skyline clip.

But, if I had to do it over, I would just buy a motorset. The reason I say that is because I also upgraded a ton of stuff before putting my motor in. I did the greddy IM, FMIC, etc.

But if you plan on running a mostly stock RB25, you might want to go with a clip to ensure that you have all the bits and pieces necessary.

Also, it's a good idea to get the company you're buying the clip from to start it up on video or something so you know your motor runs and all pieces are included.
