i found a ca18det from a friend's friend. he's selling it for $1500. its just been sitting for god knows how long at his house under a tarp. no idea how many miles and has a cut harness. it's a 5spd but he also has an auto trans he'll throw in. so what do u guys think? is it worth it?

No, because for $1500 you can get a motorset from a reputable seller with a complete harness.

yeah but either way if the engine has major problems or whatever then you'll end up paying a lot of shipping for parts and what not.

1500 really isn't a good price, especially for one with a cut harness and who knows what else missing. I got mine for 1100 shipped for a full motorset with an uncut harness and warranty. I bet theres a few guys on here who got a full clip for 1500.

I got mine for 100 euros (about 120 bucks) with turbo, a/c, power steering, alternator, and transmission

A soldier was trying to swap it into his 240sx and gave up, got pissed and sold it to me.

I got a complete front cut, shipped for $1600. $1500 is a crappy price.
