It seems as though there's currently a big smack down of a sale on bg44k at Infin Parts USA. Big as in $12.99 USD per can. The last time I scored a quantity of the miracle jizz it was considerably more per can. Post that purchase, there was some civil discourse on this site regarding the efficacy of said miracle jizz. Some opined that it had lost its mojo and was no longer the auxilio ab alto due to it's having been diluted and therefore blasphemed.

The new word was "redline".

Inquiring minds want to know...shall I rush out and procure the old jizz at a substantial discount or discard it for the new?

Please forgive my obtuseness but I don't see a date on this form. It is my understanding that the mixture has recently been diluted or compromised in some fashion and is no longer as strong as it was.

And as I am not a chemical engineer (even though I may have consumed mass quantities of such in my youth) this MSDS doesn't really shed any light on the product other than that it has petroleum distillates and mineral spirits in it. Well so do Redline, Seafoam, Techrowhatever it's called, Gumout, STP, Lucas, Fuelspiff, etc.... I'm not trying to be a tool here, just trying to find out the facts before I part with my hard earned sheckles for juice and shipping on something that is no more effective than the stuff at Autozone.

Capiche?

Thanks for the input.

Poly ether amine is the active cleaning agent so abundant in Redline, and what USED to be in the BG product.

A case of 12 redline SI-1 can be had for about $63 delivered from Amazon.

BG44k may have some other special super cleaning agent added when the stripped out the P. E. A., but I dont see it. Some still swear by it, others at it.

You are a sly and cunning rabbit Mister Qship for I seem to remember you were the one who blew the whistle on BG in the firstest place! If I am mistaken, then please disregard my besmirching comments.

IF the search function would work for me as it has in the past I would try to document this, indeed I would have the skinny and would have no need to query the Qhead-masses. But forces within the atmosphere or beyond (or stray electrons in my, or the servers computers) prevent me from getting my hands on the dirt.

If you are selling, than I am smelling! Besides, if I gave you my address the jackbooted thugs in the black helicopters might soon be upon me!

Onward to Advanceautozone! Chevron Technowhatzits is 3.50 a jar this week.

To add to this thread, I will say that I purchase most of my fuel from Shell and have had zero fuel related problems with my BarbieQ since purchase.....(except paying for it when it was 5 bucks a gallon last summer!!!!!!!!!!!)

Read my post above, I am basically telling you to buy the redline from Amazon......but for those who still believe in BG......I am more than happy to sell mine to them at the discounted rate....I wont be using it in my car.

Yes, I am the one who originally brought the BG formulation change to light here at Nico......way back in 2004 or so, I will find the original thread and bump it up for your amusement.

Original 2004 thread bumped in Infiniti general forum*********

Message received loud and clear in your last. Although my cranial matter is softer than it was in my yout, the electrons still fire...just mo' slower. And while little else is, apparently my memory is still fairly turgid evidenced by my recall of you being the whistle blower of note.

Many thanks for the muckraking. This type of info is one of the things that makes wasting time here so worthwhile.....that and annoying the nazis!

Look at Infiniti general forum, I bumped my original thread from 2004 on the BG issue.

I overlooked this thread by mistake. I started one today mentioning the sale at IOS. Sorry about that.
