On monday I will be getting a near perfect 5spd '92 240SX FASTBACK SE, and I think it has the SUPER HICAS.

So, do i have a good project car? I dont know too much about the 240SX in general. All i know is that most people are not to fond of the hicas system, but i havent really heard much about the super hicas.

Will you please pass along your opinion towards the car?

thanks

Congratulations on the car. Super Hicas is very effective on skylines and i dont see why it wouldnt be almost as good on 240s. One way to tell if your car has super hicas is, it will say SUPER HICAS right on the side of your car :) (unless it was painted over).

Every car has potential, you just need to decide what you wanna do wwith the car before you start purchasing mods. ONly purchase mods that better your car for whatever purpose you want it to serve.

nice...the 240's with hicas/lsd are pretty rare. Now then, give me your front steering rack. I'll trade you mine...off a non-hicas car. :poke

The best system to my understanding to date on HICAS is the R34. Fully electrical and controllable by the computer. The older HICAS series are usually locked out so they dont interfere. Particularly with drifts. They are very simple compared to the R34. I'd pesonally disable it for sliding purposes but see what you like better. I'm old fashioned in that I dont like too many system. No need for ABS, 4WS or any of that. I will take an LSD though ;)
