man, you wouldn't last one day over at mustangforums.com.

for example:

http://www.mustangforums.com/m...m.htm

the mods over there let free speech reign... i was able to get one thread locked (in a little over a year) but man they let us go at it for awhile!!!

i'm always getting into stupid fights over there but over here, it's like a whole 'nother environment!

i've never gotten upset with anyone here, the mods do a great job of reigning people in...

i think they run a tight ship.

besides, you don't HAVE to read any thread you don't want to...

I agree with 07Vsdn. I've been on many a board where not only are the users flat out hostile with each other, mods do absolutely nothing to stop it.

The ribbing you took in your exhaust thread was 1) not bad, by any means and 2) to be expected given the information you offered on your plans.

If you have a problem with something on the boards, email a moderator. That's what we are there for. While creating a thread like this will get our attention it will ALSO draw a lot of negative attention from other users.

Furthermore, we do not delete threads. If a thread becomes completely inappropriate, it may be moved to a section of the board that users cannot access, but it's not deleted.

Against my better judgement, I will leave this thread open.

No comments from the peanut gallery, please.

EV. I'm not sure I see a distinction between moving a thread to an inaccessible part of the board and deletion. If members are no longer able to view or access a thread then from their perspective it is essentially deleted. What is the purpose of retaining a thread but making it inaccessible? Not flaming or anything just curious as to how it all works.

The benefit of "moving" a thread allows a good thread to be saved, possibly cleaned up and put back into the appropriate/normal sub-forum.

Sometimes the moved thread acts as a record of someone's actions.

This is an observation, I don't know if this will help but here it goes....

You said that you are tired if people "degrading" you but I remember when you did the same to Andrew_aj1, all he wanted to do was share his pictures from his car and you responded to him like this:
blind_snyper wrote:wow the first pic shows a trans-am, the second a lifted chevy pickup, the third a travel trailer.

ill bet you watch nascar

N-notA-acualS-sportC-centeredA-aroundR-rednecks
zerothread?id=287828

Now you know how it feels.

If I have to beat the horse to death, I guess I will.

If you intend to mod your car... particularly if you describe a modification that is of questionable legality... you WILL have to endure comments like this, no ifs ands or buts. It's the nature of the beast.

If you can't handle it... either don't modify your car, don't TELL us about modifying your car, or don't bother with internet forums period.

We love having a variety of users here at NICO, everyone brings their own unique flavor and perspective. But I refuse to babysit one or two users just because they get their feelings hurt at the first sign of trouble.

Besides, if you want an example of what NORMALLY happens on NICO with respect to insulting, go watch the 240 Gen chat for a couple days. You'll be BEGGING for how clean we are here.

Amen. I don't understand why people post comments with the intent of hearing peoples opinions and replys, and then get upset when they hear what people have to say.

I think i can answer that because I was in this position. I think that when they tell u about what the are doing or what they want to do with their car, they are expecting a good reply. They want to hear "yeah wow impressive" or "good idea guys, lets do that too". I realized halfway thru that its not like that. Everyone has an opinion, and they are all entitled to it. What youve got to do is wither take it and use it, or just leave it. Don't whine about how u have to be right and they have to be wrong. Just grow up and learn how to take constructive critisism.

I can certainly appreciate stress, especially with moving. I just moved myself 3 months ago.

Hope things get better for you!

Rectal Craniotomy FTW!

You guys are doing such a great job in this forum, I am impressed.

It's the wide diversity of members that makes things fun in here.

Thanks for making NissanVersa.org the baddest-a$$ destination on the web for Versa owners!
