well as it stands now the car is in the shop and nothing happened like i thought it had, the actual damage was a rod shot out of the engine block...knock some stuff around and i need a new engine and ac compressor cuz that broke off during the fire in my engine bay.

its going to be anywhere from 2400-3600 for new parts labor and a new engine(used engine with like 50xxx-80xxx miles on it which is fine with me because i had 167353 on mine. and with all the new parts and some useable parts from my old engine i will be good

my future plans for the car are blacking out all the headlights and taillights. already did emblems rims paint and tint. then getting new side skirts to give it a mean stance...then some new kyouki tail lights

not hating, it's your money, spend it as you feel fit. but, for 2400-3600, you could have just bought another car. or for less than a grand and a weekend's time, you could have swapped another engine in yourself with a friend or two. i'm not seeing the victory here

If you didn't do it yourself, it is not a good job.plain and simple...having someone do it for you doesn't provide the satisfaction of doing it yourself does, you will never push it as hard, and you will never know if it's a reliable job.Should have done it yourself mate, just my opinion though

You don't insure the busted car... you sell it as a shell and get a better new s14.

Dont be stupid and put $3600 into a STOCK KA SWAP.
