I miss my friends in mobile but I do not miss mobile. I've been back twice since I moved to phoenix. Once for a funeral and another time for when my step dad got shot in the chest with a shotgun!

Im going to. I just registered on this site yesterday...im probably gonna get some tonight to put up. My neighbor ran into my car a couple of months ago....dented in the door and the quarter panel so im fixing to get that fixed....the guy hit me and then left town and nobody knows where he went.

Yeah. I actually got the car back in January and about 2 weeks later went to Mardi Gras ball downtown...some a$$hole tow truck appearently tried to tow it but ended up pulling my front bumper off...thats kinda rigged on there right now. Then a coupld a months ago that dude hit me...my cars taken a beating for sure. All I know is nobody better mess it up after I repair that stuff. You probably have seen me around...im always on the roads. Mines pearl..with a big huge f*n dent in the door...marine corp sticker on the back window

Ok - to yall in Mobile. I need to get a drivers side door for my 240 thanks to the DA that hit it a couple of months ago. A friend of mine is gonna help me with the body work. I found a door at the little import salvage place off Theodore Dawes for $200.00. Im pretty sure I can get it down to $175.00. Problem is I think there are still some minor dings in the door. Does anybody else know someone around town with a 240 for parts or another salvage yard that has one? Let me know if ya got any advice. Thanks!

Look up Barry's U-Pull-it

Big scrap yard where you can go and pull your own parts. Super cheap. I don't know if you need s13 or s14, but there were about three s13s and one s14 that all had doors last time I was there.

yeah i would definitely go to Barry's U pull it. My brother got a zenki lip from there around a year ago for 4 dollars! he had to do some work to it but 4 dollars! Then just a couple of weeks ago me and my friend got a pignose lip for 7 dollars. They are real cheap.

Barrys also has a near perfect pignose bumper. and 200 is expensive for a dinged door

Thanks everybody! I know $200 is pricey for the door...and really dont want to have to pay that much. I tried Barry's already and they dont have a 240 right now. My dad has gotten alot of parts for his MR2 from the import place that has the door for $200, so im hoping he can get them to go down on the price. I know if I go in there being a woman, theyre gonna assume I dont know better and try and make me pay full price...in which case I would probably get an attitude and end up with no door at all Thanks again for yall help! I know for a fact that they have 240s. Did you call and ask? Or did you go and look? Because apparently there's a guy that works there that's trying to keep the parts to himself cause they told me the samething.... only to go and find several in the yard. Unless you're going to a Barry's other than Mobile's.

Yeah I called....are you serious though? Thats some sh*t...ill have to just go by and look. That pisses me off. I called the one in Theodore...I think its the only one though...or is there another one in Mobile? I might have to send somebody to check for me...im stuck at work 8-5 and cant make it out there on my lunch break. Do you know what years the ones out there are?

Yeah just stay on the main path and go straight toward the back. their on the left. you will start seeing some nissans and then you will see a red s14 and on that same row there will be a primer gray s13 on the left then two more pig noses a little farther down on the right. good luck

yeah one of the guys there has one, and was trying to sell it, its a auto, it prob was him. when i called a lady answered and she said yeah they had some. But yeah i was there just a month ago so i know they have some. But hope you get your door

Sweet. On their website it says theyre open till 5:30, so I hawled a$$ from work, got halfway there and the freakin sky fell out. So i called to make sure they were still open because I was just gonna suck up getting wet to get my door and the machine said they closed at 5 So Im just gonna wait until Saturday and go check them out. If all else fells ill just have to buy the one for $175.00. Any idea what they would charge for a door?

At the very least, it'll be half the price of the door you were looking to get. And if I had to guess, it wont be more than 50 bucks. They're amazingly cheap

Ok. So I found a door on a compatible 96 s14 for 37 bucks at Barry's. I got all excited until I discovered that somebody ripped the regulators out of the door and pretty much screwed the whole door. I decided to go ahead and get the trunk and rear bumped fixed and prime so here is were we are right now with the rear (for those of you who wanted pics)You can see the damaged bumper from the side...with the new primed trunk and bumper...

I cant see the pics on this computer at school haha but what exactly is wrong with the door? cant you just switch the parts out from your old door? Just strip the door all the way down and fix any dents and all that good stuff then fill it with your guts and window.

Lol...gotta love content blocking at schools. The problem with the door is that in order to remove the regulater from my old door to stick it in the new one is that I would have to remove the skin on the inside of the new one. Being that the skin is welded to the outer of the door I would probably need a torch to separate it...after which I could place the regulater and other sh*t in, but then I would have to reweld the skin back on. Overall I think it would be a huge pain in the a$$ and would rather wait a bit and try to find one somewhere else.

Btw the problem with my door is that my D.A. neighbor backed into it right in between the fender and the door....creased it, crushed it, and screwed up everything inside.

If im wrong please correct and advise =)
