I came across an interesting question today and i would like to know how you peeps with sideskirts on your s13s jack up your car? lets say you didnt have access with a normal size jack to get to the diff or crossmember, can you use a scissors or does the side skirt come to far in? also with putting the car on a lift, do the lift points interfere with the sideskirt?

I have to get two sets of three 2x4's and stack them like stairs then back up on them. Gets the rear up enough to get under the differential, then once the back is up I can get to the front.

I had mine on a twin post above ground lift at school once - the lift points are threaded and you can raise them up/lower them. I raised them a good bit just in case, but I didn't have any clearance problems.

I can use scissors/regular jacks on mine. A portion of the skirts are cut off to accomodate the jacks.

^ Same here.

I have an ultra-low aluminum jack, and a scissors jack fits fine too.

I havent seen any of my friends have problems with jacks and sideskirts. I guess it depends on which type of skirts huh?

also depends how low your car is. if its really low u need a racing jack. sears carry them but they r expensive, about $199. But u can also get them cheaper less than $100, ebay or buy other brands. i think costco sells one for $90.

this is what i use to do when i had an ultra low car,and did not have the money for the racing jack, i'll have a friend place the jack while i left the car by the wheel well. now that was stock fenders. if you have aftermarket fenders i wont recommend that. but it works quite well with stockfender you can raise the car a good inch or 2 and the jack can slide in there. now i'll probably go and buy the racing jack from sears
