to all of you who doubted forza as a learning tool for drifting

Nissan dominates the drift scene - Always has, always will.

ok, i havent drifted in months and i wasnt good an connecting at all as of then. ive been drifting on forza learning how the cars respond to throttle response and stuff when connecting since then. all i have to say is that within 30 seconds on the track today i was connecting for over a minute straight. my buddy was in the car with me filming me drift, and i just wouldnt stop connecting and he was like how the hell did you learn that??? thats my only answer. as for all you who took me as a joke, well, just respect what works for some people may not work for you. so for beginners, it does work for learning as long as you realize what you are doing and how your car reacts in a vid game such as forza or GT.. those games do simulate lots of realistic things including weight transfer, and understanding weight trasfer is crutial for drifting.

lol thats cool bro.. i guess whatever makes you a better driver then do it.. wouldnt have been my route since for me it was actually doing it in a car when it was wet since it was alot easier to get sideways and practice throttle, linking, weight transfer and braking, but to each his own peace

I use GT4, and If I ever get behind a Cadillac Cien! I would tear it up!I understand where you are coming from, about leaning the theories of drift from a game and maybe recognizing visual clues about what the car is doing, such as weight distribution or flex. I think you were good all along a dn playing the game gave you confidence...this making it a mental barrier...kinda like cole trickle in days of thunder

hahaha that is true since in D1 for ps2 i am pro.. in real life not so much.

But whatever let the kid think what he wants as long as he has improved then thats always a step forward.. unless hes lying and this occurred in his dreams haha

i have video comparison if needed.... seriously, this is my only explanation, and understanding weight transfer and throthle vs brake.... and what to do to keep the car sideways, forza can teach you the theory, and it DOES work in real life as long as you realize what you need to physically do.

forza doesn't work, and you wont really learn weight transfer. i'm sorry, but, i'm pretty sure D1 GP for PS2 would be a better "trainer" than Forza, considering Forza, for 1, doesnt like drifters, (me in my 600hp 20b flying around corners), and, D1 actually teaches you techniques... kind of.

first of all, forza 2 sucks a$$, when you do a motor swap you also take the drivetrain of it...which = a$$

and i havent been drifting for a while but when i went to the balcony(WSIR) last week, i tore up the track....for the first time on track!! i did transitions a bit of manji's etc etc and that doesnt come from games...specially how there is no clutch involved, or you cant steer as much, or steers too much
