Well for starters, this is an original 87 200zr 2+2 slick top with 98,000kilo on the clock. I have decided to ditch the rb20det for a s2 rb25det.The car is going to be styled after the Bosozoku Shakotan cars. So look forward to super wide, low, cambered z31 with front mount oil cooler boso pipe exhaust and about 500whp to back up the looks.
By the way TnT Garage stands for The noisy tribe which is the translation of bosozoku...Im sure most of you know this but this is for those who dont.

Heres the current status of the build.

Motor: Series 2 Rb25det

Current parts list

Engine:
cryogenically treated crank,pistons/new rings , and rods
acl race main and rod bearings
arp main, head, rod bolts
Nismo N1 oil pump jun crank collar
nismo n1 water pump
200zr pan from my original rb20
oem timing pulley and idler
greddy timing belt and jyg cam gears
cosworth 1.5mm head gasket
More to come......

Spec stage 3+ clutch and 12lb flywheel
custom driveshaft

Turbo setup
Borg Warner s360 with Stainless .63 t3 hot-side
Exotic Speed rb25det manifold
Precision Turbo 39mm wastegate
custom v-mount intercooler 2.5" piping

Fuel
Jyg Top Feed Fuel rail
Sard 550cc top feed injectors and Fuel pressure regulator
aeromotive 340lph Stealth fuel pump
Nistune..will be dyno tuned when motor is done

Wheels
Compomotive ps16 3 piece forged racing wheel 17lb each
front 16x10 5 1/2" lip unsure offset
rear 16x10 6 3/4" lip unsure offset

So before you ask why it has a red hood. Here is what happens to your 200zr hood when it goes flying off on the highway. I moved last year and the tow truck guy came to move the car when I wasn't home. I had told him to strap the hood down.....you can see he did a good job of that.

Alright the wheels came. So I did a quick polish and cleaned the center. I only did 1 wheel since they are getting taken apart to be refinished, and my wheel polish is $25 for a 8oz bottle. The center caps didn't come with the wheel I had to order them from compomotive in England, so they won't be here for a little while.

This is the rear wheel 16x10 approximate offset -44mm

Ok, so I have been real busy and haven't had time to do much with the z so I figured I would put up a couple pictures.
A fellow member hooked me up with the spearco/turbo tech z31 intercooler at a great price and its in great shape so I scrapped the big CxRacingCrap for a more efficient intercooler with less pressure drop. It will be mounted in a v-mount config still. ImageImage

I also bought a universal mishimoto radiator, the measurements are remarkably close and I will be doing a full write up on the install as soon as it gets here. I picked it up brand new on ebay for $145 shipped. So I figure with how close the size is and how good of a radiator this is you really can't go wrong. Its also the right type without a filler neck and cap as well.

Sweet!! I am so glad you are doing this swap!! I plan on doing the same swap in my 88' 300zx soon. I have a few questions considering your last post was from a couple weeks ago..
Are you using the differential from the 300zx? is that why you had to get the drive shaft custom made?
Do you need to use the 200zr motor mounts or crossmember?

Thanks for posting about your swap!

Glad you like it.
Ok so it is a real 200zr so it will be using all the factory 200zr mounts and crossmember and oil pan off my original rb20. The diff is also the factory 200zr LSD rear r200 diff I am using an rb25det transmission and making over 500hp that is why the driveshaft is being custom made.

^to clear that up a little for pfftsillyhead, the output shaft on the rb20 transmission that originally came in the car and the output shaft on the rb25 transmission going into the car are different as well as making more power all equated to his need for a custom driveshaft.

I did the same swap you did, I haven't gone as high as I would like on stock internals shes only around 400 if that. I plan on doing alot more to have her 550-600hp. I have an authentic 200zr as well. I had the same thing happened to my hood after doing the swap now I have better hood with hood pins.

I'm currently on tsw zolders. I'm working towards work vs-xx/rezax or maybe any variant of ssr/bbs/vmr I'm located in cali. Looking for like 18 by 9 1/2 front and 18 by 10 or 10 1/2 rear with a low offset. Image

So since I've been receiving messages inquiring why I did things certain way, or how to do this and that. I just want to be clear I didn't do any of the work I just know part of what I wanted done and had Charles Plumb of Plumb Performance in east county San Diego did all the work for the swap, the re wiring of the dash everything you see.
