I thought the show was very entertaining. I cannot believe that Rhys Millens built that car up in 2 weeks (?). Unbelievable.

Rhys Millens was on Monster Garage the other night, they built a pikes peak racing blazer.

Yeah, it was an excellent introduction to the sport of drifting. Especially for someone like me who knows virtually nothing about it. If you missed it, try to catch a repeat. I know I probably will :)

Looks like we're in luck! TLC will repeat the episode this Sunday (8/1) at 3pm EST. Here's a link to the TLC Web site with a description of the show and photos:

I'll make sure that I tape it this time.

I liked it. I'm just pissed they interviewed those tools from APC. They claim to be all into drifting now but still make no quality performane or suspension components? And did you notice team orange had neon on their dirft cars!?! Thanks alot APC :rolleyes

I love TIVO!! Yes very good and informative show on drifting. It cleared up a few questions I had.

I'd give it a B. I laughed when that guy from APC was "reinforcing" the fact that they were "hardcore true drift cars from japan," then proceeds to call the Chaser an S15.

Personally, this is for another thread, but they shouldn't have centered the video around Rhys and Samuel. I would rather have had them talk to some people who have drifted in Japan and started with drifting. And building up the GTO was kind of lame in my opinion, considering there are, oh 0 other GTO's being drifted right now. Building up a 240 or a Corolla would have been more rewarding to the audience.

Overall though, it was decent, for TLC, I didn't really notice many mistakes.I gotta say I was digging the 68 442 that was on Overhaulin right before Rides though.

Yeah they should have followed another car but the average American is familiar with the GTO and I'm sure Pontiac put some money somewhere to have their car be the focus. What better way to promote your new sports coupe than to show it as a precise performance drift machine?

It was pretty decent, but the title of the the program was "The Drifters" History of RWD cars. So I was under the impression it was going to be more focused on origins of the sport not the evolution. So I agree with ChunkiDori that it would have been nice to get to the roots with the 86 and s13, more of cult cars that are icons in the sport. In the end it was entertaining and I hope they do a follow-up to the first one.
