if anyone knows how to hack the dat file to pass an id to it let me know. I have an album that shows up on gracenote.com but this stupid utility won't find it.

Not sure I completely understand the question. You mean you want to create a "custom" list to the utility to it will create the update for use in the car because your custom disc isn't on Gracenote??

Haven't used it much but I'll take a look and see what I can see.

I need to basically interpret the export.dat file and generate an import.dat file that corresponds to the album in the music box. I've looked at the file with a hex editor, but without the import.dat file I can't see where the proper hex string for the ID goes. If I look up the proper album on CDDB it lists a hex ID in the URL so I know they are somehow passing those IDs back and forth.
