I know I'm just being really lazy, but what are you Titan guy's doing to up the ponies on your trucks? Also is there any other performance i.e.... suspension, drivetrain, brakes, etc. that are for an 06 2WD. I want to be able to do some offroading for hunting plus keep a somewhat street appearance for it. I know 2WD will suffice for hunting/offroad as long as you know your limits so cool it with the flaming. Any input would be a bonus. Thanks.

Nismo makes a blower for it that'll get it close to 400HP with a cold air intake.

Pro-Comp, Rancho and FabTech all make various types of lift kits for the Titan that range from 2" all the way up to 6" for both the 2WD and 4x4 platforms.

You can also try a cold air intake system. Other items like blowers are real performance enhancers but they are expensive. Headers and larger diameter exhaust pipes will give you decent power gains and improve your torque curves at different RPM's. If you want any trail usability out of your 2WD pickup..

I would go for a 2" suspsension lift first.

Then upgrade to a tire size and moderately aggressive tread that is 1 or 2 sizes up from what you have now. This will give you a bit more ground clearance, when combined with the suspension lift, and give you better traction in the dirt without sacrificing too much of the highway comfort and quiet ride you currently enjoy. DO EXPECT YOUR FUEL ECONOMY TO BE REDUCED BY 1 OR MORE MPG DUE TO THE INCREASED WIND RESISTANCE AND LARGER TIRES.

Then a Cold Air Intake and Exhaust system from the Catalytics back to the tail pipe. These will free up some power and you may balance out your fuel usage and your available power output.

Unfortunatley in order to make gains in power and ground clearance you will ultimately sacrifice some of the fuel efficiency of your truck.

Thanks for the info! I wouldn't be able to justify a blower. I looked at some headers online but they were for offroad use only. I should of put in first post I don't want to void my warranty just yet. I know the exhaust usually isn't covered under warranty but I believe it would eliminate the cats. Am I right? Sorry not used to such a big truck. I've had a hardbody that I used to play with but this is no mini. V8 is new to me too. Gas and go is about all I know with them. I guess that's what happens when you shelter your life around 4-bangers. Thanks again Fellas.

A good catback system leaves the cats in place and is 50 state legal. Better yet, you can get one at your local dealer along with a cold air intake. Between the two, you can reasonably expect a 15-20hp gain along with a little better fuel economy.
