Replaced a dead battery today and subsequntly found that the car feels like it isstuck in 5th gear. Reverse works as it should. The manuall shift function on the stalk is unresponsive...can only use the column lever to put the car in P, R, N, and D. Never any previous issues with trans, slipping , etc. Seems like it is electronic. Any thoughts? Truck has 44K miles, powertrain issues seem unlikely. Could it be the brain?

sound like maybe a reprogram issue needs to be pluged into consult

The good thing is with 44k, you're under warranty on the trans. Take it down to the dealership and see what they say.

To add, a friend's Titan just hit 110k miles trouble free.
