Good Morning and thank you for letting me join the forum. I am a new member, Nick

I have a 2012 Nissan Titan and the short back story is its an insurance salvage truck from auction due to a front end collision. The previous owner did a quick and dirty repair, allowing it to be registered - but there are a lot of shortcuts.

The trouble is that the outside temperature reading/sensor is not working. The reading cycles from +122 down to -19 randomly. I purchased a new sensor but when I went to replace it, could not find the old sensor nor any evidence of wiring.

I have pulled the grill, bumper, (windshield) water reservoir, and air intake off and still no sensor, or visible wire harness. I wanted to ask if anyone can help with advice, images, or a wiring diagram. I am hoping to either find the existing sensor, or if need be - add a new wiring harness to tap a sensor into.

I am not sure if I can buy a new wiring harness? and if it can be purchased for a specific area such as this ambient temperature sensor wire run? Or if perhaps there was a funky change to this model and I am looking in the wrong place for the sensor?

This has become a critical issue because the outside temperature sensor is tied into a safety feature in the air conditioner. Whenever the sensor (thinks) it is below 29 degrees, it shuts the cold air off. It is normally 100 degrees day and night in AZ but the truck is responding to (invalid) icy condition readings.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

All the best, Nick-

Welcome to NICO!
The sensor should be mounted on the lower left (driver's)side of the radiator support.
