Trying to figure out what tires I should go with. I'll be daily driving most of the time (90%) but I also want the tires to hold up in the winter and some off roading. Let me know what set up you guys did and what you recommend! Thanks!

The problem that you will find with MANY tires out there is that the QX4/Pathy likes to chew tires for fun.

I do rotations every 5k km, but I go through tires like no tomorrow. I experience feathering on the outside edge, and the alignment is always dead on....ugh.

I use the Good Year Fortera Tripletred...and use the mileage warranty. If anybody has any better ideas...pls let me know....b/c I wear out my edges quite quickly....

Thanks! I'll look more into the Good Year! Anyone else?

Don't stick with the stock tires... Bridgestone Duelers... (at least stock on the '03) they're absolutely terrible for tread life and traction on anything but dry pavement. I'm on my second set now, just because I bought a set of QX4 rims for my Pathy and the guy threw in the Duelers that were on them for cheap. They're pretty much new, but I won't expect them to last more than two summers.

For winter tires I have Nokian Hakkas mounted on a second set of rims... but this is in Edmonton, where we get feet of snow for months, not inches for a few days. how much snow do you get in South Carolina? Enough to warrant a second set? I haven't used them, but the Nokian WR's were mentioned as a good set of all-seasons, including being half-decent in winter. Might be an option to look into, though they can be a bit expensive.

ive heard that michelin ltx is the way to go, best compromise between mpg, ride quality and tire life. not the best tire for off roading but it will suffice.
