hello,

I have an interesting question. I am running S12 200sx turbo rims on my car (89 coupe) and I can get a good deal on some 225/60/R15's. 2 of em perellis and 2 of em michelin VX4's or some jive like that for $60 for all 4. will that be tooo wide or will I be o.k.? am I in for some rubbing at full turn?

thanks!

McAdam

205-60-15 would be fine, 225 will be pushing it, even with a high sidewall. seriously, 225-60-15 has a huge sidewall man, stick to 205-60 or 205-55-15.-chet

225 will fit on a 6" rim.

The problem is they're pretty tall, and will effectively raise your ratio (thereby making a slowish car even slower). They'll look fine and should not rub.

Several members have 245/50/16's on 240sx with no problem.

thanks! thats all i needed to know! I am just in the need for some decent, cheap tires to make the trip! I'll get real ones when I get down there and get set up.

I've got a 92 DOHC going in my 89 coupe. Base model. no A/C, no power anything, except for steering. I am looking for a way to get rid of that as long as I am in the engine bay and I have it out!

P.S. I will be living on CActus Road right off the interstate. be there on thursday or friday. cant wait!

It may sound like a good deal but I would not mix two tire models on the same car. That can make for, shall we say, 'very interesting' handling issues. Not a good idea.
