The ecsta spt tires are excellent for the price - I had them on my audi s4 -2005... 235-40-18 stock size all around.
I understand the MX's are good tires for the price too - but I'd check out the new Sumitomo Hrtz III's - new and very very convincing according to the tirerack reviews. .. .excellent price too. --this tire was just introduced, and is only 116 each in ur size....and - rated #1 over the conti sportcontact3, bridgestone re050a pole positions, and yoko advan sport!
And who is sumitomo? --- I just know that they are joined with Dunlop r&d.
check em out L

I curently have 235/40/18s on both the front and the back and am now looking to replace my yokohomas with kumho ectas mx. They have them for around $150 a tire on tirerack, which i think is unbelievable considering i went in to a vendor and a rep said it would be 770 with all four tires, balanced and mounted on. Should I just buy them from tire rack for 600 and go somewhere to have them balanced and mounted or is that about right.....I have never bought a set of four tires at once and was hoping i would get a deal especially being that im tired of road noise and slippery tires. Also, are there anyone who are running these tires....I have heard good things about them, but want to make sure there fine before I decide to purchase them.
