Hey there, you can go to ceveral websites that will tell you that information. tirerack.com, superbuytires.com, dicounttires.com, etc...

I am getting ready to order a set of tires and wheels together right now from Superbuytires.com and they are really great priced, as well as having an informative website with suggestions on what fits your car. (ie, our cars!)

I am curious though, has anyone else done business with SUPERBUYTIRES.com? I am a little leery to pull the trigger because it is such a great deal for the wheels and tires combo package I am looking at. Im just curious if I found a good place or if Im gonna get taken. It is a lot of money to have just disappear if they aren't legitimate.

Sorry for the semi-hijack. But I hope I helped a little.

Tanya

P.S. I forgot to mention I am going with 245/40/18's.

Mando,

I actually called the wheels manufacturer direct yesterday for the wheels I am buying and asked them this same question you are asking.

the Sales Rep on the phone told me the widest tires we can do on our Coupes is 245, otherwise we will run into rubbing issues any bigger.

He also let me know that we want to go with 8.5" wheels as opposed to the 7.5" In the end I ended up with the 18x8.5" wheels and Im putting Nitto Invo 245/40/18 on the wheels.

Good luck and I hope maybe a few others will chime in here. Take care.

So Tanya you have been telling me about your tires but how about the rims, which rims are you getting, you really need that last little (and very expensive) piece to complete your car's great look.

p.s. I forgot it will never be complete without the grille just like the rest of us.

Good to know...thanks for answering the question that was simmering in the back of my mind!

Now, 'tis time for me to totally threadjack! My old car (an '03 Toyota Echo) was rear-ended by a city bus and the damage was extensive enough to write it off. I had just purchased some fantastic winter tires (Blizzak Revo 1s) at the beginning of the winter season for an incredible price. I'm wondering if I can use these on the a/c or if there will be some serious fitment issues. The Blizzaks are 195/60/15, which translates to a 2 inch smaller diameter than the stock 215/60/16. Other than my mileage being screwy, will this have any other adverse effect on the car (ie. tie rods, alignment, etc)? Thanks!

I dont think it will affect it in any way, you will get the wrong mileage and speed numbers during the winter, and your ride quality will diminish a little but other than that there should be no ill effects on you suspension.

HAHA, you will have to see the rims I am getting! THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! Yes, I am dropping more than a couple grand on them, but I am EXCITED AS ALL GET OUT! I will post pics as soon as the look is done. I still need to post pics of the drop with the EIBACHS as well. And Tint is next after I install the wheels and tires. Thank you for the compliment. And you are very right.

As for anything "screwy" with the 245's or different sizes below that, no, there is no adverse effect. The mileage is going to be off (on my car by 2.3% which means when the tack shows 60mph, I will actually be driving 58.6 or something.) Thats fine with me.

So Mando, what size tires are you going to end up with and what kind ?

Later all,

Tanya

I want to get 225 or 235 for my car and i will propably keep the 16 alloys that came with the car because of the money situation and because the potholles in downtown chicago are just ridiculous.

p.s. I think my friend might have seen your car around ASU

Peace,Mando
