I just bougth a set of 17'wheels from a 2008 SEDAN G35, they are half inch wider than my 2004 model. My intention is to install 235 50 17 all around but I am afraid they might be too wide for the front and could damage my front end and/or adversly affect handling. Will 225 50 17 be an option even if they are .40 smaler in diameter. Please throw a lifeline this way I'm desperately in need of good advice.

My understanding is that the staggered fitment was only on the Coupe and that is was done to reduce understeer and rear end slippage.

You can run the same size all the way around, but it will look weird and I wouldn't recommend rotation, but that's just me.

If you want rotation, I would go with the Nitto Invos (check the sticky). They are assymetrical which allows them to be rotated side to side. That combined with an alignment policy at a reputable tire shop should help reduce tire wear.
