I want to put rims and tires on my s13 I'm thinking I want to put p245 65/r17 on the back and 210 65/r17 on the front. Will the 245s on the back be too heavy to drift? Will the tire even fit on the car? I have bc street coils on it currently.

There's lot's of room for tires on the S13 in the rear. I think factory width is 195, so going to 245 will be adding significant amounts of traction. Drifting doesn't really seem to be about gripping and traction. When considering wheel fitment, you need to address the offset as well. You don't want a wider tire to rub against your BC street coils, or your fenders. A 17" tire will cost more than a 15" tire (all other dimensions being the same). So, burning rubber while drifting will be that much more expensive. Weight... well that just depends, but you are most likely making all your wheels and tires much heavier and all that is unsprung weight. Finally, your sizes seem weird. You are changing the overall diameter of your wheels. Are you picking commonly available sizes? Odd sizes cost more and are harder to find and buy. What is 210, a motorcycle tire?

Good luck with your research and I hope you get some nice tires and wheels. Check the classifieds here, lot's of members go through wheels. If you want to drift, maybe look into an LSD and get some used tires in stock size on the wheels you already own.
