I ordered my 16x8 +15 s already and im about to get tires.

Im all about grip, and want the most I can get, within reason. Im also going with falken ziex. So I want the most grip I can get out of them

I was thinking of at least 225/50/16 to take advantage of the wide wheels. But on an 8 inch wide tire how would 235s be or does anyone object t that. I plan on doing a roll, maybe a slight pull (i think it would even make the car look better). Ill be dropped at least 1.8 on springs and struts, or possibly coilovers.

Are 235s possible

Anyone know what tire size this is? it is a 16x8

I really like the wheels in that photo.

I wouldn't get the Falken Ziex, they're good but they fall apart on hot days. My friend had them on his hicas S13 a long time ago and they were just peeling pieces off from inside the front fender well after several autocross laps in July.

Try going w/ the Falken RT 615, unless that's not what you are looking for.

235's are overkill on an 8". Hell, I'm running 225 on a 9"

the tires in the picture you posted are most likely 225's..ive seen pictures of 205/50 tires on those wheels and they are stretched a bit..to get a square fit like that i would think they are 215-225, my money is on the 225

I would suggest a 225/50. I am running that size in a Falken RT615. Those Ziex tires are......I personally would not buy another set.If you want a good grippy tire at less than the 615's look into the Hankook RS2. They come in at under $100. That is probably what I will replace these Falkens with when the time comes.

here ya go :P

16x8+26 in the rear (track rims - aluminum multi-piece = lighter)16x8+15 in the rear (daily rims - single piece rim that match the front)16x7+15 in the front with a 15mm spacer.

all with 225/50

If your wondering between flushness between my 2 sets of rear rims, visually cant tell a difference.

I always notice when the non-jdmtytericepatrol people are missing. We are a dying breed.

What tires are you rockin' in those photos? And what kind of wheels are on the rear? Lookin' good!

I'm rockin some ADVAN S4 (UHP A/S) and man, they are incredible! Even in comparison to my old RE750's which were UHP Summer tires!

Im running Bridgestone's new RE01R's which are better than the seemingly autocross de-facto azenies. There was a 240sx that won an scca championship last year on these tires, and I pulled a 1st place in my class last weekend with these tires.

All the wheels, track and daily, are RSWatanabe RS8's. (wich are kind of rare in 5 lug The 16x8 2 piece wheels are about 4lbs lighter than the 16x8 single piece that match the front.

Meh? A G-Mod class? I've never seen that class before. Don't the Mini's run in that class?

I would run R-Compounds if it weren't for the fact that I was shorted a pair of wheels when I won an Ebay auction for some SSR A2 Integrals (the same wheels I have now). So now I just have a pair. Laaaame.

This club uses the Midwest Council rule book, which uses a modified SCCA class structure.

Basically they place your car in a class A-H based on car make and model (SCCA rules)then assign points to mods which then put you in stock - prepped - modified - Race.

They are a street tire with 140 treadwear. the "R" is just the tire name, not the compound
