I have a 1992 Q45 that I use for highway driving and city driving in central California, where we receive only an average of 7 inches of rain per year. Our temperature range is about 105 degrees to 30 degrees.
My main desire is for a quiet, comfortable ride with decent performance (I don't go screaming around freeway entrances to see at what point the tires will break out---I did that at the Richard Petty driving experience at 140mph and their tires stick to the track like glue...). Perhaps the best tires that I had on my car were Bridgestone Turanzas years ago.
I did a search on Tirerack for grand touring all season and only found Kumho tires, with which I am not familiar. Under High Performance all season is the Bridgestone Potenza G009. The RE 950 did not come up on the initial search but is rated pretty well by drivers who have them on the tirerack site.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks
