I have the stock 15x6.5 (I think) rims for the Q45..

The stock size is 215/65/15, and im running 225/60/15

I want to know what other sizes will fit, if any to broaden my choices in size..... I want some summer tires as i now have a set of dedicated snows..

Hi, Wes.

This is from an older post of mine. Grab the text below and stick it into Excel and it will give you the information you want ... the Firestone SZ50EP (discontinued, but may still be in stock) is the best, IMHO. Other brands/models are either not the right weight class (95 load index or higher) or not available from Tire Rack (for example, the Falken Ziex 512 that AZHitman likes!)

You are welcome --- you will be very pleased with the Firestones! :) Dennis (Q45Tech) likes them a lot too, although he also believes that the Pilot XGT H4 in 235/60-15 is an excellent choice too.

Note that I do not like the XGT V4 at all (this is different from the H4), because it is terrible in wet weather! I had too many scary moments with those, so I did not go for the H4 either, the last time I had an opportunity to get 15" tires on my Q.

The Firestone's are awesome --- super quiet on the highway and spectacular handling in wet. That was my main criterion for a tire choice.

Enjoy!

What different options do I have on tire sizes... IE 215/65/15, 225/60-15, 235/60/15, etc..... Any 245 or 255 series tires that will fit?

Not on a 15" rim with the right load index for a Q (it is a heavy car!), unfortunately. The widest one that works is the 235/60-15 Michelin Pilot XGT H4.

Also,I would say that the SZ50EP in a 225/60 is a very sticky tire! I was amazed at how well my Q cornered after installing them (and this is on a 4000+ car, no less!) I felt more comfortable in some high-speed cornering situations than I used to feel in my old 300ZX T!

We still have a few left in our Delaware warehouse at $128.00 in that 225/50-15 size. We are trying to get more into all of our warehouses but they are being fazed out and are already on backorder with Firestone. There has been no replacement announced as of our last meeting with them in Feb. It may be time to stock up if you are running this size:( http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?...x.jsp

Grant, the Tirerack web site says that the 225/60-15 is $107 for the SZ50EP. The 225/50-16 is $128, but that is a 16" wheel - Wes needs 15".
