Ok, I have looked up and down on the World Wide Web for consistent info regarding tires to no avail, some I'm coming here where hopefully someone knows what's up. Late last Fall 2009 I purchased new rims and tires for my 2008 2.5s Altima Sedan. The tires are Falken ZIEX 912 235/40ZR18's . They haven't even lasted a year! I don't drive like a bat outta h*ll and since I work for the Fire Dept. I only go back and forth to work once every 3 days. Since I put these tires on my car I have only accumulated 9,000 miles.I also have my tires rotated every 3000 miles when my oil is changed. I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts/personal experiences with tires and could guide me in the right direction. There has gotta be some low profile tires that will last longer then that! Thanks for your assistance in this matter!

Maybe your alti needs an alignment? Incorrect toe can eat up tires quickly. Your treadwear rating looks to be 360, and my Dunlops had a treadwear rating of 240 and they lasted around 25k miles (2 tires were completely bald when I put my stockers back on). Of course, treadwear ratings can also vary across brands...

Another possibility is that you could have just gotten a bad batch of tires. When was the manufacture date?

They were manufactured on the 21st week in 2009. I looked over all 4 tires and they appear to be wearing evenly.

What weight are they rated for?
