Hi everyone, been awhile, thought I would let you know I bought konig next 17x7x5-114.3 rims and 225 45 vr 17 tires very helpful and good price. Interested to see how reducing my rotating mass will help at the track.:)http://www.g-forceperformanceandsound.com

That site is ok, but is no match for the massive tire/wheel/suspension resources of our Sponsor, the TireRack, who's salespeople look after this sub-forum.

I personally am very fond of TireRack. When a customer of mine has a hard-to-come by application(exact OEM rear Bridgestones for an S2000, you try & find em) I call TireRack wholesale.

Enough of my ranting.. what tire model did you choose?

Hi SmithSR, I got falcon 512. I have read alot of good reviews on these tires. I live in st. louis and we get our share of rain with some snow and ice in the winter. Teses tires are told to do very well with that climate.

Is it the Falken 512? Excellent all around choice for your dollar. Falken is best bang for your buck brand, IMO. :)

I have 512's on my 240 (not by choice) right now and they aren't up to my standards, however for a daily driver tire they are excellent for the price.

Everyone toots the lack of wet weather grip the Azenis Sports (now 215's I think) have, but they had tons more grip than my 512's. However I believe most people confuse wet weather grip w/ hydroplaning resistance, which anyone who knows anything about tires can tell you, the Azenis sucks at lol.

Go with this setup next time you get tires and you'll love it.

235/40/18 Yokohama ES100's 275/35/18 Yokohama ES100's

This will bring a higher load rating, which will provide much more stable turning, better tire life, and better handling. Especially in a Q where load ratings are/should be a large factor in tire size choice.

275s won't fit in the rear. Wheel offset is perfect, & the 255s are as big as I can fit. As for 235s in the front, why would I want to go smaller? ES100s are too pricey for my daily driver. I love the Kuhmo 712s so far.

My 86 300ZX turbo has 18x10s (rear) with 285/35s & 18x8s (front) with 245/40s. Yokohama AVS Sport all the way around.

Cool, cool... just thought I'd make a suggestion.

One thing you do wanna look out for in tires is the load rating, especially on that Q.

Pics? Very rarely do you get to see well done up Z31's in the states.

These are not my wheels. I test fitted these. Mine should be in by the end of the week. So I will post new pics of them then. I ordered some Boyd Coddington wheels. Polished aluminum.

Sick, Boyd's are nice.

I like the Z, but I'm not a big fan of the "Nissan" graphic but hey it's your car right.

Got any mods done to it?

I love th Tokico set up. I tried the blue Tokicos b4 getting the 5-way adj. I like the adjustables much better. I autocross & will be doing road courses with it soon. Handles very well.
